OCD Symptoms

Contamination obsessions with washing/cleaning compulsions: If anyone is suffering with OCD the patient will usually focus on feelings of discomfort associated with contamination and wash and for this he/she will clean/ wash excessively to reduce these feelings of distress. For instance a patient can feel that his/her hands are dirty and in this way he/she will wash hands many times. Even after washing hands for multiple times he/she will not be satisfied.

Obsessions without visible compulsions: Someone with OCD sometimes thinks that he can be a rapist or he can harm someone and after thinking this he prays to god not to do so and feels as a criminal. He experiences unwanted obsessions surrounding sexual, religious, or aggressive themes.
